[COMPLETE][REQUEST] Notify friends of blog posts

The friends section on my profile page neglects to mention when they updated their blog. I'm much more interested in new posts than what they set Watching ^^

Also is there any way of setting it up so that we can view "older" updates? When I get up in the morning it's easy to miss a lot of friend activity since if one person has gone on a spree of marking up series they can often dominate the ten spots that we can currently see.

unfortunately there's not a way to store more of the user activity without server death (at least based on my understanding and a past conversation). i can ask though if it's possible to store more of the history. i dont think there's a way to store all history ever, for 80,000+ users that would just be too much.

i'd love to update the friend history (or personal history) to include:

-the stuff is already does
-blog posts
-new/updated custom lists
-personal reviews
-site reviews (if a site reviewer)

this unfortunately boils down to the same old problem of having no funding to build it. for fun though i'll get an estimate on how much it would cost to add such a thing, will check the current donation pile, and post about it in a thread in case people want to donate.
