I wonder if it would be possible to have several differently themed name sets and let each user pick one for him/herself. Seriously doubt vbulletin would just happen to have an option like this, but it would be a good solution if it did. Or, if it isn't a terribly difficult setting to change, we could do something like rotating between themes each month. Maybe have a suggestion thread set up and sothis can pick whichever one suits her whims at the time :P
