[QUESTION][answered] Signature - Anime-Planet forum

Sorry for such a specific question, but for some reason my new signature won't work. I always get the message "Your signature cannot be longer than 500 characters excluding BB code markup." Any suggestions are welcomed. The signature is as follows:

Probably cause you've gone over 500 characters with the length of all of the links in there. Just get rid of a couple of them, and it should work fine.

If you really want all those links, use tinyurl.com to shorten them.

I guess it was confusing because it said "excluding BB code markup" and I don't know what they mean by "excluding" or "BB code markup."

BBcode markup is the tags, like [b][/b] or [url][/url]. However, that's JUST the tags. So for your links for example, the [url=][/url] part doesn't count toward the 500 char limit, but the actual links themselves do.

Also, you should use the a-p sig pic from the a-p server, not remote host it. It won't auto-update when it's remote hosted like that.

Here, try this, it's only 360 chars (not counting BBcode tags):

^^that sig is too big visually anyways to fit under the guideline - visibly it should be only a few text lines larger than the regular sig image -those two spoilers might be ok if the text links were super super huge, font wise ^_^
