[FIXED][Bug] Can't log out - Anime-Planet forum

I haven't seen this reported anywhere so :

I can log out of A-P, I mean the logout sign next to my avatar is unclickable (its the same on any part of the page). I'm using FireFox 3.

ff3 has a bug where it fucks up floats - we are trying to come up with a workaround for the browser. in the meantime we suggest using a less buggy browser, or you can log out by hovering just below the log out text (shows up below the text due to the bug in the browser)

Ok thx, though the thing with clicking below doesn't seem to work, but I have no problem with being logged on all the time. I know I should have stayed with FF2 for a bit longer.

Here's the logout link, as a temporary fix you can add it to your bookmarks & log out that way: Anime Recommendations, Reviews, and More! Anime-Planet

So I click the logout button and it doesn't work. That would seem a little odd. I mean, it'd be nice to make sure I log out after logging in at another computer. Yeah...

Disregard what was said about FF3. FF3 is actually a perfect browser, conforming to the actual specifications on how browsers should behave when rendering webpages. The issue was that the logout link wasn't created correctly in the first place, favoring the IE users. As a fellow FF3 user, I feel your pain, and have rectified the issue.

ie is a bad excuse for a browser. it doesnt meet web standards(acid 2, acid3) is damn insecure, slow, bad rendering engine and steals features(tabs etc).

The link worked fine in FF2 based browsers, which conform to standards just as much (although they conform to slightly older standards). I fully agree that catoring to crappy IE is a mistake, but if it works in FF2, it should work in FF3 (which this didn't).
