MY DNA IS MADE UP OF ANIME
|
on ap.com it searches the whole site
on ap.com/anirec it searches all anime on ap.com/reviews it searches all reviews on ap.com/users it searches all users if you are under /users/ users should be displayed and not anime and whatnot, but if you mistakenly landed on /anirec and looked for an user you have to redo the search by clicking the link on the bottom. but since it isnt a problem at all to put all results on one page, all results should always be displayed! though sometimes there are just too many results. with all those users and anime entries, thus i think this way is the best way to overcome all those annoying clicks and problems^^ example: ![]() if you searched on /anirec/ only anime results should be visible, but if you want to see reviews as well, just click on the [+] next to it and you see those as well! no more need to redo the search and load the site again :) P.S. how about adding a number next to each category, eg: Anime Results (13) Review Results (2) DVD Review Results (0) User Results (5) |

Hmm... I didn't even realize it was setup that way. I always do searches either from the main page or from the search field on my custom homepage. I'm never searching for users, and when I want a review for a series, I'll already be on the entry for the series & can click the review link from there. Frankly, I found it slightly annoying to have all those different search results show up all the time. ...But now that I know about this aspect of the new search function, I'm a happy little camper. ^_^
*runs off to add search_type=anime to the search field in his custom homepage* edit: Seems to be a minor bug in that search feature. If you try to search again from the results page, the search reverts back to "all".
