[ANSWERED][QUESTION] How do I use a custom signature? - Anime-Planet forum

I'm sure there's probably thread here somewhere that'll answer this....
But as of now I still haven't found it..

So my questions is, how do I set my anime stats ( watching, want to watch, Stalled, etc) as my signature?

And how do I change the pic that comes with it, instead of the girl with the angel wings?

I'm kinda inept with stuff like that.

Hmm... I wonder how you know that the default image is the angel girl, if you don't know the steps needed to make a sig? ....Or did you have a custom sig using top5 or something before the site went down?

In any case:
1) It's impossible to make a new site sig right now, unless you feel comfortable making your own from scratch in an imaging program. The sig functions will get added back to the site later.
2) You can start preparing for when the sigs are back up. In order to have the stats in your sig, you first need them to exist in your site profile. Go browse or search the database, and set the anime you've seen/are watching/etc, choose the episode count, and so on. These are what the sig generator uses to make the stats sigs.
3) Once sig functionality has been restored, there will be a link to edit your sig on the site (dunno exactly where it'll be on the new site), click that & follow the steps (unlike some other sites that have custom sigs, a-p's sig generator is very easy to use). One of the steps (I think it was either #2 or #3) prompts you to select a background image, you can either choose one of the default ones, or upload one of your own.

Aelphais Anime Fan in Training Join Date: May 2008 Location: Idaho Age: 19 Posts: 153	Re: A Question about signatures Sorry it took so long, had to find a suitable face: You win that face because this thread states (#2 of 'not done yet') that sigs are currently unavailable. alot of other people probably deserved that face too, so don't feel too bad, but as you can imagine the stress over the last few weeks that sothis has felt since the site went down, these threads become mundane and old and people not reading the announcements is sure to annoy .. people. so be patient while the site is running though these stages and you'll be rewarded with awesomeness. You can put up custom sigs for now (ones you made yourself) by clicking on User CP at the top of the forums and then selecting Signature from the side bar. But looks like you have one already, so I'm probably just rambling now. On a side note: if I get trapped in a desert with large insect from seeing your avatar there will be serious lawsuits taken against you. :P .. assuming I get out somehow.. __________________
