[ANSWERED][QUESTION] Adding single episode OVAs

Are we allowed to submit entries to the AniRec that are a single episode OVA? I only really know of 1 OVA that is that short and it's not on here, so I didn't know of any others I could check if they were added here or not. (I generally don't watch many OVAs)

You are not only allowed, but ENCOURAGED to send in any and all missing anime entries, whether they are entire series or single episode OVAs.

I've seen a few single ep OVAs here. The only ones I can think of atm are the naruto ones. Do a search for naruto, then checkout the entries. There are a few movies, and several OVAs. All of the OVAs are single episode ones, and at least one of them is only about 5 minutes long.

As long as it's anime & not hentai, feel free to submit it.

The only time a single ep OVA might not be added is if it's just a special episode of an existing series. For example, episode 10.5 of elfen lied. Even then, it's a grey area, and some such episode might be added while others are omitted.

hmm.. Drahken's post brought another question in mind: What about something like this? I don't know if that's the same situation as episode 10.5 of EL that you mentioned. Also, I haven't seen this yet, so I can't answer any questions about it in case you're trying to compare it to episode 10.5 of EL, but I will watch it in the next couple of days as I've already downloaded it.

It's more of a special than a movie from what I hear. I still haven't seen it yet so I don't know :P

*shrug* If it's movie length (ie, around 80mins or longer), it's a movie (at least in my book).

if all else fails, use the comment form submission, choose anirec requests, and ask me if its something i need or will add :) we definitely put up 1 episode ovas and specials - it just depends sometimes. it's always a good idea to ask before submitting something anyways, as i might have an entry already in my inbox that i just havent had time to put up - thus you'd be wasting your time to make a duplicate :D
