[FIXED][Bug] Valid twitter name cannot be added to profile twitter feed
I've had my twitter connected to my site profile for some time now, and now I decided to throw in the RSS link to my external blog. But when I tried to save it all again it complained and said:
"Habhome is not a valid twitter username." What? I didn't even change that, and it's been working before... I tried removing it and re-adding it, nothing happened except me losing the badge and my feed on my profile, and now I can't add it at all. To me it's not important since I barely ever use Twitter, but the issue may affect someone who does.

I have this problem too, means I can't make any changes to profile as it can't validate the twitter feed. Would be nice if it was fixed so I can change my profile but i'm in no rush to do so.

Yea, I got this problem too, and I even logged in on my twitter to make sure it hadnt been deleted ( as I barely use twitter), which it hadn't.

Have you tried including or excluding the # or @ or whatever that twitter uses? ....What about the full address (twitter.com/@foobar, or whatever the proper format is)? It probably won't make a difference, but it's an easy thing to try.

I tried with the full adress, and also with the @ in front. But still doesnt work. :/

I'm having this problem. I tried to update my profile a few minutes ago and it said my twitter username was not valid. It seems I cannot update anything unless I take out my twitter feed. I might just take it out since updating my profile is more important, but I do hope this gets fixed soon so I can add it back.

hi everyone,
i believe i've fixed this - twitter updated their API and thus the URL we were checking for valid usernames had also changed. if someone can please verify i'd apprec it (i checked with my acct, but mine is a bit unique)
