I think it would be interesting to be able to sort by the number of people who have watched an anime while browsing the anime list, similar to how you can now sort by rating, title, etc.

It could be an interesting insight as to which are the "most popular" animes.

It wouldn't be that hard to implement. If you can get the ratings/ranking of each show then getting the number of people who have watched it is just as simple (maybe just supplementing an SQL query?)

#1 statement i love hearing on anime-planet from people who really have no idea of how AP is built, what dependencies are involved, what technologies are involved, what the codebase involves, etc: 'it shouldnt be that hard to do'

for the record btw, i'm not saying off hand that this either is or is not 'easy' to implement - its just a personal pet peeve of mine because a massive percentage of people who request something follow it up with 'well its easy to do'. unless you're aware of how the site works, that's not a statement anyone has the ability to say, except the site devs.

or just
watched

It can be called "Most popular" or something like that.

Yeah we don't know how the site works.

But it is not that hard is true. Just one page and few line database code (maybe sql).
