usernames are now required to be at least 3 characters. i've emailed the 15 or so people who need to change their names. follow up in a week if needed, then delete accounts if no contact.

usernames now have a very good checking mechanism. only letters and numbers are allowed. all usernames that dont fit have been fixed, users emailed.
