Ranma's a strange series for gender or species tags. Ranma's a girl half the time, Ryouga is a hamster half the time but Genma's a panda the majority of the time.

I don't think these characters really fit the animal tag - as their afflictions aren't absolute enough to warrant being called animals, as they are still originally and basely human. Also, none of the other characters are tagged in this fashion and I think it just confuses things a little.
