Another saying I've always loved since I first heard it is "the pistons in an engine do not know what is written on the valve cover." And it is by far my favorite of any and all sayings related to the auto.

Well, my first bike is Africa Twin RD03, codename Tigeress. It is something of a restoration project since it left factory in '88. I chose AT since it is hard to kill model widely known as tinkerers bike. It takes effort to fuck it up beyond repair so it is nice bike to train mechanics. Bad news is that previous owners took it to heart and did their best to fuck it up (one managed to fry electrics by using nail instead of a fuse)

It is falling apart on me and since I have no workshop fixing it can prove to be tricky. I changed few minor things and installed new rear suspension (was too excited to check it when I bought the bike, it was barfing oil like crazy. Luckily I bought cheap used one because new one costs 50% of what I paid for whole bike).

She is worth the effort, I love it when we fall on the ground and she sprays gasoline all over me.

Best pic I have now:

So, I've gotten back into RC cars. A few weeks ago a friend of mine was talking how he just bought a HPI E10. Listening to him talk about how much fun he was having drifting it around got me wondering if I could drift my HPI RS4 Racer 2. Next thing I know I'm cutting up a 3ft section of 2" ABS tubing for drift tires.

This past weekend we went to a local hobby shop and track. The body on my RS4 had seen better days before this past weekend. And now I've been reading the Groovy Drift forums. So much really cool things for the RC drift scene these days.

But yeah, the body for the RS4 is now a drift beater body. Knowing that it's only going to get slowly more worse as I learn RC drifting, I'm going to go for a "been though hell and back" look for the body as it deteriorates. And of course I find out that nitro drifting it much harder than electric. Yay me doing things the hard way, again.

Pictures of how the body sits now after some "stitching."

Hopefully my friend will have the video we've been taking edited and up some where sooner or later.

Wow thats some stitching job there :D Should call it Frankenstein.

I spent last 48 hours gluing hand guards from my bike with epoxy. Just to find out that previous owner used guards from other bike and broken them when trying to install because they are too freaking narrow... I broke them again and they still don't fit. I decided to ride without them after all.

I am poor with electricity and my bikes wiring is thriller/mystery. Stop light is working 50% of time and I loose lights randomly. Also right turn light does not blink. Most of the time. I will have lots of fun with it once I find garage where I can safely disassemble whole bike... doing it on public sidewalk is no fun. And I think it gives people ideas... after all there is nothing simpler then stealing parts from bike parked on sidewalk.

Wow, I was going to say lotus because it has some resemblance to Elan in it's line. And I know Elan from Amiga game I used to play as a kid :D
