Stalked by a Mew vs Ditto transform post.

Actually, I realized that you could pull off an interesting Transform using Mew from that last conversation. Basically, transform appears to preserve the pokemon's HP stat and copies the the other stats of the pokemon being transformed into. You can take advantage of this to create what my program says is the most defensively viable pokemon ever. (Ignoring potential moveset problems, though.)

See, Shuckle has the highest base Defense and base Special Defense in the game, but makes up for it by having an incredibly piss-poor base HP. Mew, on the other hand, is all 100s so all his base stats are pretty good.

So, if you had a Timid Mew EV trained with max HP and Speed (good-to-perfect IVs) and had him use Transform on a Shuckle with a +Defense or +Special Defense nature as well as max EVs in both Defense and Special Defense, you'd have a pokemon with the equivalent bases of

100/10/230/10/230/5

But the alarming EV spread of

252/4/252/0/252/0

It would be cool to see. Naturally, that's a Double Battle setup. And the resulting Mewckle would have a hard time killing things off, too.

If it could kill fast it would be way to overpowered and you would probly send letter bombs to the creators of pokemon for not having it be like that all the time.
