I'll be setting up the poll tomorrow after work for our first title. The poll will be up for only the weekend and Monday we'll watch the show that "wins" and depending on the length we'll have 7-14 days to watch and then start discussing the following Monday or the one after.

Anyone that wants to send in more suggestions you can do so at any time, the deadline for the first drawing will be when I get home tomorrow.

While I'm thinking about it, anyone care if it's an anonymous voting system (aka poll under a separate thread or a PM to me) or if we just post our preference below? Either is fine by me, one problem we'll need to be aware of is polling will be open to anyone this includes non-members so votes could get skewed from what we want.

Also ideas and suggestions welcome.

Hmm, I had not expected anyone to nominate Fafner or Divergence Eve (or was I the one who did that? ) . . . good choices in my book, contriversal as hell in others' . . .

Anyways, back to why I was going to post about. Shadow Skill. When I mentioned that I meant more the movie and/or OVA. Personally I found those much better and they fit into the 13 or less group I was listing for, unless that was someone else's list. I think watching the movie and OVA, while not necessary, helped tie together some of the relationships earlier on in the TV series and thus made it better. And the TV series needs all the help it can get.

How long do we discuss the anime for until we choose another? A week? Say the ending Monday till the voting Friday? Or will we be watching the new chosen one while still discussing the other? meaning we vote for the new one while finishing off the one we are currently viewing.

Voting should start on Friday and end on Monday every time. That way we can start the anime on Monday and be finished on another Monday.

For the voting I think we should just post our preferences in this thread and make them bold or very noticeable. I don't like the idea of a lot of random poll threads being made just for this. But I wouldn't care if there were others aloud to vote either.

Lets see if I can explain this well...

My original idea was thus; We vote during the time that we are already in the middle of watching the last "winner" of the previous poll. Similarly, discussions will take place at the same time. In an example we have a 13 ep show, should take no more than 7 days to finish it. Say we start on Monday 23rd of June, we make sure to finish it by Monday 30th of June, during this time period I'll have another 5 shows to vote on, and had we already selected a show for the 16th-23rd week we'd open discussions for it on the 23rd.

Alternately, we could do week on week off style. 1 week to watch 13 eps, 1 week to discuss and vote on our next selection.

I dunno if that makes any sense to you... my brain sometimes operates at a different wavelength :P aka I'm not normal lol.

As to the voting/polling on separate threads, I was thinking we could also do our discussions there too. Still, that's not something I had my heart set on, and I have absolutely no problems doing votes here with bolds, in colors, or whatever you please. As long as I understand it's your vote for.

Interesting idea about using the poll thread as our discussion thread. I kinda like that idea.

I'll join as a short-term newbie if that's possible. I'll be completely gone in a few weeks, but could participate in the first few.

What does this mean? If I understand correctly, I'd be breaking this rule.

Suggestion: How about bundling some of those really short ones to balance the lengths? So you could, say, add Shinigami no Ballad or something else to be watched with Memories (alternatively some Kon movie, since that would actually be related to Memories). Although it's possible that that would cause there to be too much material for discussion.

I'd rather not bundle titles together that have no relevance to one another.

As for the minimum 3 participation I think I can make an exception if you're going to be away for a while. RL can't/shouldn't be avoided :P while just plain indifference or laziness can and should be.

The rule more pertains to people that wouldn't take the time to participate.
