How to Add or Edit Characters

Tyler didn't address it, but this is NOT a bug. Since the goal of this forum is to leave an accurate paper trail of submissions, only a select few people can edit posts in this forum (so that you can't go changing posts).

hmmm can I add the "Magical Girl" tag to Ayumu Aikawa from the anime Kore wa Zombie desu ka?

Female? Not so much
Transformation? Heck yes
Magical Item? Chain-saw of awesomeness

satisfies 2/3 of the conditions but he pretty much goes "masou" shoujo every ep at least once so can the tag apply to him too? or can a Magical Guy tag be made =)

This should go without saying but, basically, when it comes to the magical girl tag... no boys allowed!
* Transformation:
All magical girls should have that wonderful moment with the overused transformation sequence. If the character in question does not have all her clothes ceremoniously stripped off and replaced with an awesomely coloured outfit of frilly wonder, then they are NOT a magical girl.
* Magical Item:
Magical girls invariably have some kind of magical item they they wield when they strut their stuff, be it a shiny jewel or a wand.

I mentioned having this added to him too but no discussion was ever conducted on the subject. Personally, I'm all for it, but we have others that need to be convinced first.

Yeah, it would be funny, but as stated before he is technically a masou shojo, not a mahou shojo. The idea is that it is parodying the definition of magical girl, a parody is not the same as the real thing and therefore no tag. If he said the he was a mahou shojo in the anime, I would say go ahead, but no dice. Plus the fact that he is a guy is a major roadblock. That's my opinion as the mod currently working on the show, sorry =D

Not one of the Masou Shoujo in the show has shown up as a guy. Ayumu stole the magical girl powers accidentally.

By your logic, though, Haruna shouldn't be a Magical Girl either.

I got side tracked after writing the first part. The point of the first part was that the powers are strictly those of girls. If other guys showed up, fine. But Ayumu just happened to take on the powers of a magical girl, outfit included.

Ok I see your point, forgot that we tagged Haruna as a Magical Girl. But you can bring this up in the "Characters who may need fixing thread" again since this isnt the right place for this conversation...
