2011 A-P Anime Awards: Panel selection
Like last year, we'd like to have a "panel" vote alongside the regular one - to have a second set of results that are less subject to popularity skew, a little more informed, etc. In order to do that, of course, we need people to be on that panel. Process-wise, since the central idea is to have a well-informed bunch, panelists will be asked to hold off on placing their votes until the final few days. The hope is that in the meantime you'll be able to catch up on some things you missed - it doesn't have to be crazy-marathon-mode or anything, just if you feel there are a couple more relevant shows you want to see, try to get to them. And then when you do eventually vote, all you need to do is vote in the regular thread like normal, but put it in blue to indicate it should be counted towards the panelist vote as well. The panelists will also partake in some bonus-fun votes - worsts, best animal, stuff like that. These are just a simple plurality thing, where each panelist picks three for each category, and also hands out their own invented award. Just a little extra something. With all that said, if you're interested in being on the panel (looking to make it roughly 10-20 people) please make a post here indicating as such. Include the number of ended-in-2010 anime you've seen, as well as a couple of your favorite and least favorite genres if you can name some. Selection will be based primarily on having a decent (doesn't have to be massive) watch count and getting a good genre balance, as well as a minimal amount of seniority. (i.e. if someone has only been on A-P a couple weeks it's probably not too wise to assume they'll definitely be around a month from now) Of course, that's only if so many people apply that such calls have to be made. If you're interested, don't hesitate to post! Here's the master list for counting-watches purposes: This will be open until the 9th, just like the fix threads. (incidentally, if you have a few minutes to help out with the genre and leads lists, please do so - input is badly needed!) Then I'll try to piece together a list and post the final selections up here. To all who wish to participate, thanks for volunteering ^_^ |

I'll apply again this year. Think this is a great idea.
I've been so busy that I can't keep up with my claims even right now. So I doubt that I'll be able to add anymore series to my list.... but I've watched a few this year ![]() In summary TV: 78 watched, 2 stalled OVA: 26 watched, 3 stalled Movies: 8 watched in Total: 112 watched, 5 stalled I don't have too much of a genre preference really, because I change around what I watch a lot. But if I had to pick: Action, Romance and Drama are my top 3 favorites prb. |

I'd love to be on the panel.
Finished Dropped Currently Watching/Stalled In summary: TV: 38 Watched, 3 Dropped, 3 Currently Watching/Stalled OVA/Web/Etc: 8 Watched Movies: 3 Watched Ok, seems like I haven't seen all that much this year. But I hope it's at least close enough. And there seems to be some missing from OVA/Web/Etc and Movies. Last edited by Kenikki; 03-09-2012 at 07:03 AM. |

Ooh sounds like fun. I'll apply.
Completed series: Completed OVAs Movies: So that would be 76 TV series 34 OVAs/Web series 2 movies I can watch some more movies before voting begins to be more rounded in that category as well. |

I'd like to join the panel if possible.
--TV-- 48 TV series finished so far. --OVA/Web/Etc-- 28 (+2) so far. Also, the Yozakura Quartet: Hoshi no Umi OVA, which was missing from the list, and the Amagami SS OVA, which is also missing from the list. --Movies-- 18 so far Favorite genres would probably be action, fantasy, and sci-fi, and least favorite would probably be sports and ecchi. Still have some stuff I can wrap up and just wanted to toss my chips in:
TV - 15 OVA/Movies/Web - 5 Total For genres, Action and Comedy are certainly my top 2, with third being either ecchi or romance.
