1. Autoresize linked Images via [img][/img] tag on the Users end (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) by utilizing a javascript. This way linked Images will not break thread post width.

• Autoresize per a given value (set by admin)
• Not serverside (the server only provides a JavaScript and little modifications, but the resizing is done at clients end)
• Will require to update core files, hence this can only be added when v3 is launched

Unsure if this has already been implemented, however there is already an addon for vBulletin that can do this.

You can find it here and I have installed on a vBulletin board of my own which is quite simple. As far as I can remember I just uploaded a small javascript file to do the resizing.
