Not quite sure how much of a response this is going to get, but let us try voting for 5 anime with the best mecha.
The idea here is, what mecha series, regardless of their actual quality, had a take on giant robots that you liked more than others? Whether it be because you thought the mechs simply looked cool, or based on details about the way they're handled, or how they fight, etc. Remember, it's not so much about the anime as a whole, as it is about the mechs that are in them. Could be interesting to see what comes out. Happy Voting ^_^ **Voting Closed** The top 5: Neon Genesis Evangelion Code Geass Eureka 7 Full Metal Panic Macross Thanks for voting!

Haven't seen too much mecha series, but here I go:
Bokurano - Those things were just plain cruel NGE - It's pretty well explained how these things work Eureka Seven - I mean, come on, they surf, make pink explosions and detonate into rainbows, awesome no? Code Geass - Well, they had variety in their specs, which is a good thing The other few I've seen aren't worth mentioning for their awesome or unique mecha. |

Gundam Seed - Freedom - this one is my favourite gundam even with all the shiny stuff 00 brought. Somehow his design is really appealing.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - Unit 01 - Mecha that's not really a mecha, now that's quality stuff :P Eureka Seven - Nirvash - While mecha design might be average, the fact that they are surfing on the currents in the air makes up for it. |
