10/11/09 - 5 anime ruined by a single character

The ones I can think of are
Naruto - Naruto
Gravitation - Shuichi
Tokyo Underground - Rumina

The characters weren't the only things I hated about these, but a major factor.

And also, honorable mention for School Days for not having any likeable characters at all.

Ergo Proxy - Pino (This show was crappy enough already without Pino...)

These are the only two that had a character so annnoying that I deducted points from my score because of it.

Shinji did whine, but the anime is made in such a way that you can sympathize with every word. If anything Rei and Gendo were most hateable, but even they play their part in making Evangelion the best, and among most loved anime series of our generation.
