Somewhat of a tough one - this week we'll vote for 5 anime with the ebst comic relief.
We're not looking for series that are actually comedies in any major way... Rather, the idea is to think of ones that are generally action series, dramas, etc. that have a couple comic relief characters, or a "funny" episode, or some other form of comic relief added in. Most of time attempts at such comic relief fall decidedly flat, but every once in awhile it actually works - what examples come to mind for you? Happy Voting ^_^ **Voting Closed** The top 5: Fullmetal Alchemist Trigun Clannad Full Metal Panic Cowboy Bebop Thanks for voting! Last edited by Cetonis; 07-14-2009 at 06:45 PM. |

Well, I guess I could make an attempt at these animes. They are not primarily comedy as you would put it, but has its "moments" as you put in your critiera.
Evangelion Rurouni Kenshin Hajime no Ippo Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 Trigun

Most things I watch are comedy-ish, so this is all I've got (though they're pretty apt regardless)
Fullmetal Alchemist Baccano! Antique Bakery Code Geass (does it count if the humor isn't intentional?)

-Cowboy Bebop (the refrigerator ep alone, one of the funniest eps of anime i ever saw)
-Code Geass (both seasons... one ep out of every 4 was a pure comedy ep... the rest was pretty much straight war/drama, with maybe a few funny lines.. those comedy eps always made me split a side) -Fullmetal Panic! (season 1 for the most part... fumoffu was pretty much straight comedy, and season 3 had almost none) -PlantES (always brought the comedy with the drama...) -Spice and Wolf (i don't know why but i found this series pretty funny, though it was pretty much a straight drama, perhaps it was Horo's constant proclamations of being "Wise" with all the trouble making aura of Puck from midsummer night's dream, who horo constantly reminded me of) |
