^I don't see a great one in your list either LOL considering i don't like 2 of them hehe

anyway
i put mushishi on there more from an episodic view really.

I didn't get the impression from reading the first post that it was suppose to be cliche kind of stuff... but more of just shows that are so damn simple that they are good and people tend not to drop them or complain *too* much about them.

This is hard. Looking over my anime stats I realise I haven't actually watched a lot of terribly generic anime; and the stuff that applies I guess I didn't care for much.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - The ur-example for me. This entire program is the most cliched, hackneyed thing imaginable - but it's done with such skill and finesse it reminds you WHY these cliches became cliches to begin with. It's one of those great series that moments which move me in context seem ridiculous outside of it.

They Were Eleven - An unremarkable sci-fi premise but one that's surprisingly well written and executed, making for a darn entertaining movie.

Black Magic M-66 - Just a slice of awesome cyberpunk action. Nothing more, nothing less. Also: AWESOME.

Urban Square - Nothing more than a somewhat dim eighties action short, but it boasts a surprising amount of self-conscious charm.

Rozen Maiden - Something of a guilty pleasure I guess.

I would've figured you would've seen everything there except maybe WKG.

I was very tempted to put up **** just on the premise that it was good (in comparison) when I watched it all in order.

I only questioned Kino's Journey because of it's episodic nature, and simplistic design.

The philisophical nature of the show however made me question otherwise. Which is why I mentioned that I wasn't sure if it counted it or not. :P

Also, I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head....

I mean, I suppose there's like Ah My Goddess or something, but I haven't finished it... and Kino's Journey was better... Lol. I was trying to think of something I found noteworthy. That was the only 5th thing I could think of... Otherwise, for example, Dragon Ball Z and similar shonen series, I hate them, so I didn't think they were worth any awards. :P

What the hell are you talking about? The Japanese nicknames for shows are so much more useful than those stupid English acronyms...

What does **** stand for, anyway?

You two seem to use this a lot.

No, I don't mean ****, so no smartass answers, please.

Is it an acronym?
