This could be on the tough side, but this week we'll vote for 5 anime with the most crossover appeal.
Every so often you hear about a mecha anime that even people who hate mecha seem to like, or a hyper-shounen show with a large female following, etc. Most of us have been there ourselves, reluctantly watching something we thought we'd hate based on the genre but wound up thoroughly enjoying instead. Which series do you feel are the biggest examples of this, appealing even to those who normally hate its kind? Happy Voting ^_^ **Voting Closed** The top 5: Ouran High School Host Club Full Metal Panic Code Geass Fullmetal Alchemist Major Thanks for voting! Last edited by Cetonis; 09-21-2008 at 10:30 PM. |

You guys can vote for up to five, you know -.-' And it doesn't have to be with mecha, it can be anything, shoujo, ecchi, romance, whatever. |

I think it has to be anime with strong stories and believable characters.

Well anime based on video games do get bashed a lot.
1. Street Fighter II The Animated Movie: Very faithful to the material on a minimal base. Character designs that are faithful to the game. Raw and hardcore action. Kick ass music in both Japanese and English. Probably no. 5 on my top 5 anime of all time. 2. Popolocrois: An excellent installment to the franchise overall. This is a classic example to never judge a book by its cover. The art is very childish and Sunday strip-ish (if that is all a word), but it is a wonderful coming of age story. 3. Fatal Fury The Motion Picture: Hey, this paved way for Terry's buster wolf in Garou: Mark of the Wolves 4. Street Fighter II V: I thought it was a great take the street fighter franchise. The action is still exciting but with a story you can follow and sensible character development ------------------------------------------------------------------- Non video game 5. Windaria
