9/14/08 - 5 anime with best supporting cast
Need to get this rolling again... we'll start with something very very simple (as I have a bad habit of confusing people when I try to get fancy -.-') and vote for the 5 anime with the best supporting casts.
Self-explanatory here; most every anime puts plenty of time and effort into their main 1-4 characters, it's a matter of course. Not so many anime, however, put energy into developing a strong secondary cast, often opting for an array of simplistic models or stereotypes. Which series do you feel actually did a good job with these characters? Monster - Even with how far I am I'm amazed with the supporting cast. Towards the Terra Gurren lagann Baccano - Might not count depending on your classification.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Easily.
Monster's pretty good too, though. So I'll go with those for first two, then throw in Paranoia Agent, Baccano, and Fantastic Children. |
