This is the first time I'm responding to one of these so I hope it's OK, sorry if I go into too much rambling detail, I'm an animation student and am used to semi-analysing whatever I watch.
Mushishi - For it's sheer beauty! This has the most gorgeous visual style that I have ever seen in an anime series, In my mind, it rivals the Ghibli films for beauty since not only is the scenery gorgeously drawn, the actual animation is amazing and manages to KEEP the detail that is in the stills. Princess Mononoke - I couldn't pick visually amazing anime without mentioning any of the Ghibli films. They are all truly stunning with the gorgeous 2D animation and the gently mixed in CG. I chose Princess Mononoke over Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle purely because the visuals are a little more grown up and the forest is gorgeously animated. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - It can have such a mix of styles, especially when you take opening and ending themes into account. Plus the way the fabric patterns don't move when the characters do is something that I love! Plus teh scene in the very first episode with the sakura trees is absolutely beautiful. xxxHolic - I like the exaggerated length of the arms and legs, it makes the anime instantly recognisable, and whilst it's something that a lot of people don't like, it's a style choice that I personally love. Tokyo Godfathers - The style of this anime is brilliant. It isn't a rough style but it has something about it that I can't quite put into words that just makes it fit and ideal for an anime about three homeless people. The style isn't polished and clean but it is very well designed. |

Princess Mononoke
You're Under Arrest! (Movie; all Fujishima anime except No Mercy!! look good in terms of art)--About this, while the animation quality was average for an anime movie, the art was amazing. Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen Cowboy Bebop (More specifically the movie; I liked the use of darker colors) Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade |

Black Lagoon
Soul eater First 20 episodes of Bleach Samurai Champloo Spirited away I like the drawing in these series but after episode 20 in Bleach the quality dropped, too bad. Even if it's a movie Spirited Away was really charming. |

I remember watching the first episode of Gankutsuou and being so distracted by the unusual animation style but quickly falling in love with it. It's truly beautiful to watch. Also, I love Lucia di lammermoor, so any medium that uses the mad scene aria from Lucia deserves all my love =) |
