3/23/08 - 5 anime with the best costume design
Continuing with the theme of things that don't get always get much attention, this week we'll vote for the top 5 anime in terms of costume design.
Pretty self-explanatory here; which anime stand out in your mind as having particularly good outfits, whether it be for their detail, color, basic impression, or whichever else you feel makes for good design? 1) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 2) Naruto 3) Trigun 4) Full Metal Panic ... FUMMOFU! 1) Yoko (enough said :P), Boota with the blues brothers shades ;), Kamina (He brought back the collared cape XD) 2) Certain characters look good (ie: Kakashi), and then some look stupid (Tsunade) 3) Wolfwood's preacher-like get up with the cross cuff links, or Vash's trench coat...that he wore in the desert...(Trench coats look better in the movies/tv, but everyone I've seen wear them in real life...look stupid). 4) Fuuuuuu...mmooooooooo....fuuuuuu You can't beat the bonta suit. :P Can't think of a fifth, just don't really see characters in anime that jump out to me and think, "that looks sweet!"

okay this is a mean topic. because there are alot of shows that have good outfits. and that is alot of animes to review. urg i am going to kill you. now i am going to have to watch alot of animes and think of ones to put down. see you in less then a week because it might take close to a week to figure it out.

Invariably this will go down as a good dose of mahou shoujo for me, as much as I don't want it to.
Utakata (designed by a list of who's who in anime and manga-dom) Mahou Shoujo Tai Card Captor Sakura (the epitome of mahou shoujo, as creepy as that sounds) Last Exile Juuni Kokki Special mention: Parakiss. I don't like the designs, but they sure did a good job with it nonetheless. |

Saiunkoku Monogatari Trigun Paradise Kiss Shounen Onmyoji I found this very hard. I think there are a lot of great costumes out there.

Gankutsuou ~Le Compte de Monte Cristo~ Gunslinger Girl Lucky Star Venus Versus Virus Hidamari Sketch not that mine are much better haha. I would've voted Uta Kata if it weren't for the overkill on fucking swimsuits. GOD I FUCKING HATE THAT SHOW.
