so i know i've been slacking on these, due to a million other site-related items.

i'm wondering if one of you is interested (maybe it's wolfco? or it could be someone else) in being the lead moderator in this section. if you don't know what i mean by lead, please read the most recent site announcement (and please read that before responding regardless). ^_^

as the lead of this section, i'd imagine you wouldn't have to do a lot, unless you can come up with some sort of interesting contests/etc to run. mainly what you'd do is post a list of upcoming contest ideas in the hidden mod chat forum, which would get approved, then you'd ensure they are posted each week on a sunday.

you'd also have access to the form i'm making, to update each week's winner in the database. the anirec homepage would update itself automatically.

as the lead you'd ensure these are done in a quick fashion and on time -- or, if needed, you'd delegate tasks to a non lead moderator of the section (such as tallying)

let me know asap if you are interested, and make sure you include what you think you could do for this section (including potential ideas ^_^). I'm less interested in "i'll do whatever you want on the site" and more "here's what i think i could do to make this section awesome"

I've made the offer via the forums, before, and was going to mention on MSN, sometime, but I'll make the offer, again, to do the lists of the week for you, so here I am. XD I'm positive I could put up new lists on time (though sometimes they might be late night on Sunday, or whatever, due to my ocassional late night out on those days), as I'm usually not very busy around the time that they should be released.

I don't have a lot of ideas for extra things, unfortunately, though I think I'd be able to maybe make a separate poll, to have people cast a vote for upcoming topics, based on the most popular ideas in the current thread for that (ie narrow it down to a couple, each week?).
I mean...I'm not sure if there are really that many things I could possibly do to make this section much better, other than trying my hardest to have everything done efficiently and on time... ^^;;

I dont think a poll is good for the vote, it might lead to themes as 'most handsome character' 'most evil villain' instead of 'best anime with a cat' and other more interesting themes.

Very true, Tetra. So maybe if that were to be done, it'd be better as an ocassional? Because it'd be good to have those, too, amongst the more interesting ones, I think.
Though since I said 'narrow it down', maybe to prevent having the less creative ones so often, it'd just be necessary to make the ones it was narrowed it down to more creative than the simple ones? I dunno. It was just an idea, in the first place. ^^;;

i think that it wouldnt be too bad if we had a simple topic once in a while...i even think it would be good to have a topic of "best/worst anime" , there would be allot of different opionens ofcourse but i think that would be funny to see...
