09/16/07 - Worst English Dubs - Anime-Planet forum

argh, sorry guys :( i've been so heads down in the custom forum sigs that i forgot about this.

my vote off hand:

Maburaho
Dallos
Excel Saga

i know no one else has seen dallos probably, but 80% of the secondary characters are voiced by the same guy, who just changes the pitch. it's really fucking hilarious.

Tetra: English voice acting isn't actually that traumatizingly bad these days... I generally consider it passable to solid in most cases; it's just that it's rarely good enough to justify not simply watching the sub. But if someone watching it with me insists on the dub, it's usually withstandable.

Anyway, Excel Saga... I've seen too many people cover their ears form that to not give it a vote. Gunparade March's female lead, though, gives the single worst voice acting job I've ever heard. Would've made a great robot... can't think of any other dubs that were on that level of pain, so just those two.

All i've seen in dub was Hellsing and i like Alucard's voice in Hellsing dub. :)

I don't watch dubs, in any language. Seen an episode of a Harlock anime in Italian and must admit it's 10x better than american dubs. Only complete series I watched dubbed was Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, and it sucks. And since i dl anime almost always in dual audio I've heard a bit of Slayers and Gungrave, and, awful.
