No Vote

i just want to add, as well, that intelligent != mindfuck, necessarily. we'll have a list of the week for that someday too, but just in general, keep that in mind.

that isn't to say the votes i'm seeing don't count, but stuff like texhnolyze and cat soup, imo, are more in the mindfuck category than "intelligent" like kino, etc.

I was reffering to Cat Soup as it made me think (That was pretty uesless, but it still did. :p)

Edit: If it doesn't work I will change it, but my other votes should still be good....

I agree about Cat Soup. However, Texhnolyze is no more mindfuck than Haibane Renmei. It might be a bit difficult to get a grip on, especially the first time, but then it's actually very similar to Lain and Haibane Renmei, complementary, sort of. The only real difference is that Texhnolyze takes on a broader theme, thus giving less time to think during the watching (better don't try taking more than 2 episodes a time). However, it's not just making one think (like typical for "mindfuck" type), but rather speaks its messages. Not as motto-like pronounced and clear as Kino, but still without much obscurity.

Ghost in the Shell
Ergo Proxy
RahXephon

Ghost in the Shell is great for existentialism philosophy, and Ergo Proxy is great for philosophy in general. I love when I feel I've just been mind-fucked, and those two certainly raped me a few times.
