07/29/07 - Most annoying female leads - Anime-Planet forum

clarifications:

as the current design of this feature doesn't have an option of calling out who was chosen as the winner, your votes must be for the only and recognizable female main character for the anime. for example, i'd love for Tomoe from Azumanga to win, but if azumanga was at the top of the list of the week, no one would know which girl had won.

also due to the above and the fact that eva has won a ton of weeks in a row, i officially forfeit asuka or rei or anyone from eva from being included in this poll.

by "most annoying" i mean the female lead you hated the most.

Excel Saga - Excel needs to die a PAINFUL death
Gundam Seed - Frey - bitch just needs to die
Naruto - Sakura even though right now in Shippuden is her one redeeming moment, her being so worthless is more annoying than sasuke's being gay/emo
Urusei Yatsura - Lum got annoying for me... suck a cocktease :/
Ranma 1/2 - Akane - Stereotypical 80s female role... what more need I say?

Blue Seed (What I saw of the main female lead made me pissed off and want to shoot her)
Jubei-Chan (She seemed like a ignorent stupid....)

(Though I dropped both of these series early on)

Awh man, you're missing out. Blue Seed is really really good. True, Momiji Fujimiya is a bit of a weak whiny girl waiting for her knight in shining armor, Blue Seed is worth it, not only in the music, the animation, the character design and story, but because it's classic. Watch! Enjoy!

I think I'm ineligible - strangely, can't remember almost any recognizable female character from anime. Apart from Satoshi's films, some certain best works (still not always), and maybe really recently watched series. For the rest, I basically remember it was 16 year old girl of either "kawaii girl", "strong independent chick" or "generic" type, that's all.

I'd list all the eligible ones I've seen, if I could remember the names. Usually they even all have the same face, however, so I'd confuse the names anyway.
