Here is what they claim:
"If you order over $150, economy shipping to Canada is free!!" But it is not so cause they ship C.O.D. for a huge fee (around 8$ per DVD). I told them about that, and here is their reply: --- "Hello Pierre- Unfortunately, some shipping companies may charge a fee for delivering your package to a foreign country. Such fees and customs duties are not included in our shipping price, and are your responsibility. We apologize for the confusion. Thank you, Brandon B." --- So basically their free shipping is a FRAUD and a LIE.

C.O.D?
Anyway free shipping is often meant only inside the home country where shop is located unless it is told otherwise. www.dealextereme.com has international free shipping. |

Did you choose the free economy shipping? As they say in their reply, the shipping itself was free, but when it reached the Canadian border, apparently Canada added a customs duty/fee onto it. That's a shame. Here's what rightstuf says on their website: Quote:

I live in Canada, and I order from TRSI quite often. And I usually order for more than 150$ so I can get the free shipping.
Look at your receipt/invoice, shipping really is free. But custom taxes aren't. Everytime I order from them, the Canada-post guy eventually knocks on my door and asks for X amount of money (usually 14-15% of the total value) in exchange for my package. This has NOTHING to do with Rightstuf, it's the government's way to remind you that it's bad to send our precious Canadian Dollars to a foreign country! It might look like a COD trade, but it isn't. I have no idea were you got that "8$ per dvd" from though, my last order from them cost me 26$ CDN of custom fee for 170$ CDN worth of dvds. |
