Story/Setting:
This wonderful piece of anime sets in a city in the near future. Loads of stuff has happened, and the world has been digitalized a lot. The world has become a better place to live in, but that does not hide the fact that criminals exist. And since the police cant handle all the criminals on their own, bounty hunting has become a regular thing. And the main characters in Cowboy Bebop are, you guessed right, bounty hunters. The main character are Spike , a lazy ass man with extremely good skills in handling a gun and in martial arts. his only concern in this world is that he needs money so he can eat. Another character is Ed. Her (yes, HER) actual name is Edward. She is a weird little kid with the ability to hack. And she spontaniously falls asleep, wherever she might feel for it. But when she is awake, she is so energetic it even makes you feel worn out yourself :) The third person in this group is ... , a big brute that looks like a russian wrestler. He is the muscle of the gang, and have survived a lot of tough battles. The last one is a girl, ..... . She is the brains behind all this (except for Ed) , and she finds every little piece of information there is to find when they are going bounty hunting.

When the world suddenly gets introduced to a new pill, wich contains nanobots that'll kill you in eight seconds or something, these bounty hunters become interested. There's an award on solving this case, 300 million woolong! (Wow, that's a hell lot of money. Hey, wait? What is a woolong worth anyway? :P) They decide to take a look at this, wich turns out to be a stupid idea. Now, the action packed story Cowboy Bebop unleashes it's fury on you, and you start drooling :)

I found this anime really interesting. The characters were really cool, especially that kid Ed :P You'll laugh a lot of her :) The other characters were also really cool. The story was splendid, liked it a lot. Some of the elements in the stpry COULD have been described better, but it was great enough. And what i found really strange, was that this was a 1 part ova, 1hour 50minute long, and it was NOT bad or boring in the lenght. It was really good actually :) I have watched it a couple of times, it doesn't even become boring after four times. There are certain elements with Cowboy bebop wich makes it worth to watch. Like the

Animation :
Yeah. The animation in Cowboy Bebop was really great. Filled with details, so it looks good for us actionfans :) It doesn't lok childish in any way, it looks like it is meant for older people. I don't know how to describe the animations better.

Music :
This is another good part of Cowboy Bebop. The soundtracks are a lot different from what they use to be in other OVA's and anime series. They are kind of, what should i call them, have no ieda :) Special is the right word. And they are english. At least the bigger part of the music in Cowboy Bebop is english. This was one thing i found amusing. And also, the music fitted perfectly for this kind of anime. A couple of the songs were pretty funky, and could have been better, but what the hell.

Overall : 9

I think Cowboy Bebop deserved a 9. It was really great animated, the music was as good as it could get for this kind of anime, and the story was great too. Although somethings could've been explained better, and maybe some background of the characters, and of course changed a soundtrack or two, and this anime will rock. But hey, it's still worth those 2 hours it takes. Yeah, it's even worth a lot more. believe me :)

Halycon:

if you haven't seen the original Bebop, you should probably watch that (commenting on the part about how some characters could have had background info told)... since the movie is really just like a long episode ^_^

(it's a movie, by the way, so i'm going to change that in the title ^_^)

That's not true lackey.

The movie is a long eps somewhere between ep 22 and 23. SO it's not an ep 27 (Unless you meant that,. my native language aint English eh :p)

Reminds me. THere is a 27th episode.

I really enjoyed 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door'. Having never seen the series, the first half-hour did a great job of introducing the main characters and set a nice tone for the rest of the movie. I will have to watch the series now. :)

BTW, what is 'Bebop'?
