To anyone, not wishing to indulge in major spoilers, please stop reading now. The Overall is ok to read. Seeing as how there are no spoilers in it.

Fullmetal Alchemist was truly an amazing series. This all changes in Conqueror of Shamballa. I truly don't think that the movie rapped up the series the way it should've. It didn't even seam like the same story anymore. In the series Ed is trying to find a way to get Al's body back, and restore their childhood glory. The movie really just changed all of that. In the sense that it seemed to be more about the science world than the Alchemy world. It seemed to focus more on the characters of that world as well.

Sure the WWII setting looked appealing to me, and most likely you at first. But after watching it and finding out that half the movie was set there, kind of disappointed me.

The story was building up to something great. Well, that's what I thought, until the movie. It let's you down. I was expecting a grand finale, but instead wound up with a grand failure. Well, maybe it wasn't that bad, but definitely not eh best ending to an anime.

Animation: 9.5
One thing I will agree with on this film is the animation. Truly amazing in it's department. The backgrounds and scenery were absolutely stunning to watch. There was definitely never a duel moment in that area. I even sometimes stopped paying attention to the story, and just watched the animation. It's probably what got me through it all the way. Well, I only did that sometimes. I did watch the whole thing, to see if it would change.

The action sequences are amazing as well. I particularly like the fight between Wrath and Gluttony. A fitting end for Wrath, and an amazing fight for the fans. The graphics just upped this performance.

The ships and vehicles, in this film, really just seamed to come alive. I like the part where Ed and Alphonse (Science world Al) are driving in the car. Then Ed crashes. It just really captivates the feel of, well what i'd think it to be if it was in real life.

Sound: 8
The English dub was better than I expected. They did a great job in this field as well. I do think they could've found a better voice to play Alphonse Heidrich. I don't think his voice quite captured the sound it should've for that character. Other than that the dub was great.

The sound of the action sequences was amazing. Watching it in surround sound makes you feel like you're there. But I don't think you need surround sound when watching this. The sound is so in-depth that you'll feel apart of it, even if you don't have SS.

Characters: 5
They focus too much on the characters of the science world. Which I really didn't find any of them appealing. Especially the Hughes of that world. Now don't take me wrong. I love the normal Hughes or the alchemy Hughes. How he's always talking about Alicia. He is just so funny, and know when to be serious. But the Hughes of the science world is too serious. All he thinks about are his duties, and he is rather annoying. Though at the end this does seem to change a bit. The best character from the science world has to be Noa. I actually like her, but I think she is the only one.

I especially don't like that most of the frequent characters from the series, only appear a few times throughout the film. I would've liked to see more of Mustang and Hawkeye than the characters of scienceville. I think most people would stand behind me on this.

Well it's not how I expected it to end, and I must say that it really disappoints me. I must stress that when you do watch this film, don't expect anything too fantastical; because you simply won't get it.

I think to was pretty good, not the greatest out there but still really worth seeing.

Story:
The story in this is alright crazy lady discoveres other world and alchemy alphonse has his body its all good up until the ending i mean they leave their world for ever leaving poor Winry alone without both of her freinds and they even lose there powers
Animation: 9
They actually did a great job on the animation no distorted characters or anything like that it looked just like in the anime.
Sound: 5
the characters sounded the same at least.
Characters: 4 The characters had diffrent personalities in the world of science they all lost there little quirks that made them great in the first place.
overall: 7
Most of this comes from the animation the story was a little to unique for my tastes.

I thought the plotline had very nice "touches." Intertwining the Nazi's and racism was a very nice idea. They had a good foundation and it was satisfying. But not satisfying the way the series gave us. We, the audience had high hopes and they had the capability to give us an AMAZING sequel but they just didn't execute as well as they should have.
animation: 8 (i just don't like CG, I can't help it.)
Sound: 8 (this is odd, because I have a personal vendetta against anything dubbed.)
Characters: 7. this is exactly the same thing they did with the story. nice touches. great foundation. horrible execution. they should've just given them more depth.
overall: 7. satisfying ENOUGH. but no more beyond that.
