I don't know, the part about he comets I understand. If you look back into ancient history many ominous things have happened with the appearance of comets. In the 10th century even wars were started. Other than that point, I have no idea what his episode was about. Just seemed like kind of a weird one. I've seen this series before but had to see which episode 22 was. lol.

I think I was too quick to judge this show. Episode 22 and 23 were messed up, but the last three episodes more than made up for it. Probably the best anime I've watched, in my opinion. I loved the swordfights, the characters, and it was probably the only anime where I was saying 'please don't die, please don't die' aloud. Loved all the characters in it.

I always hated this show a lot. I just find it washed up and disorganized and irritating to watch. Mugen is my least favorite character in an anime ever. Just like Inuyasha, he just comes off as a pain in the butt. You want to tape his mouth. Sometimes brash characters can be fun, but only if they are funny and they are not the main character. Mugen is not funny and he is the main character. In comparision to Mugen who has bad personality, the other two characters have no personality. Jin has the personality of cardboard and Fuu had the personality of that whiny rich girl you knew in high school. The story is disorganized and you have no clue what these characters are looking for, they're just traveling around like a bunch of hippies at Woodstock. There probably is something they're traveling for, but I'm usually changing the channel by the time they start to talk about it. I think the only people who like this anime are people who only have adultswim and other basic cable anime and if that's the case, you need to look around more off of the television to find better anime.
This anime gets a 1/10

You must not have liked Cowboy Bebop or Ergo Proxy either then, which are the two other shows by the same people. All three are just Character Studies, not story driven series, if you don't like character studies then yeah, I guess you'll not really like any of these three series. Samurai Champloo was more of a study then the other two, meaning there was not much content there story wise. Mugen is a great character, he was created just as the whole "anti-hero" thing started to catch on. Teh guy is supose to be obnoxious, out of control and overall uncaring. That's the true beauty of his character, is he always seems to have this obligation to help out his friends. I believe the ending was in a sense a way of showing that they all had their own goals and directions to go in life, and the whole story was just leading up to that point, a discovering of character. It's much the same way real life is, people linger and coast for years until they truely find something that grabs at them and draws them into an effort to fight for what they want. anyways, my two cents edit: i thought i'd also post that if you've sat in on a writing table discusion or a draft then you'd understand more that this is the kind of stuff the writers are thinking about when they create these stories, some of these guys think really deeply and philisophically about how they want or see these characters doing. I can't say I've been privy to any anime writting discussions, but I have seen them on video, and I've sat in one or two discussions for indie stuff here in canada, hopefully one day someone will pay me to do it :D |

Hey come on. I disagree with him too, but we must respect each other's opinions. You like Fullmetal Alchemist, but I'm not going to say that you fail because I hate that show.
SC was a good show, up until the ending. |

I must agree with you, though, that Gundevil shouldn't tell someone they fail just because they disagree. If you think someone is totally wrong or even unreasonable, tell them in a constructive way i.e. post your own counter-review. Try not to get personal about it.
