As usual, this is getting underway much later than I'd prefer - entirely my fault, so apologies for that. I suppose we can just think of it as giving people more time to watch a show or two they missed -.-'
As it is, I'm looking to do voting roughly from March 10th/11th through March 30th. Up until then, it's the usual period set aside for getting the lists fixed and collecting panel volunteers. For the love of all that is good, if you have a few minutes to help get the lists straight please do so; the genre list is likely to be pretty bad, and the leads lists is a certain disaster. I literally try to base the final list on what the majority of posters in those threads suggest, (barring clear violations of guidelines) so getting a decent number of posts in there to work from really matters. The master list can be found in the genre fix thread - if you find anything missing that ended in 2011 and is available in some decent (i.e. not a theater camrip) English form please post in there. Oh, and the 2010 threads are currently hiding in the 2009 section. Need sothis or possibly an admin to make a 2010 archive to store them properly. I may add random stuff as I think of it. For now, feel free to use this thread for any questions/comments/anger/evangelism/etc. you might have in mind. |

We'll just make this into the discussion thread, to save some space.
Voting threads should all be posted now ^_^ Changed the voting end date to the 6th, as there is a 5-10% chance I'll be moving the weekend before, which would make counting slightly impossible. Thanks the the handful of people who posted in the fix threads, sorry that the end result was kind of awkward and arbitrary - a lot of times it was only one person saying one thing and only one person on the other side so it was hard to resolve much in any clean manner with so little to draw on. I'll have to go back to doing a lot of the fixing work via pm in the future. I am glad that the Horror category was more or less salvageable at least. As for the panelists, 8 or 9 is a little bit low so I'd like to hold out for a week or so to see if some more people pop up now that voting has begun and the awards section should get more attention. I'll try to post some random thoughts/firestarters at some point hopefully-tomorrow, but for now it is to bed with me. I will at least repeat my plea to sothis to pleeeeeaaassse make an archive for 2010 though, as having them lurking around the 2009 section is just so awkward -.-' |

hmm... early going, not a lot of surprises thus far. I fully expect Series Overall to be close between four to six different shows this year, given both the lack of a monolith like FMA:B as well as the fact that there were just that many very well received series this year. I still need to watch a few myself (seen Steins, Madoka, Hanasaku, Fate; still need AnoHana, Usagi Drop; working on Mawaru now) and will certainly hold off on voting until I do. Are there any other must-sees out there?
As for the rest of the votes, I suspect Drama will be super competitive this year, and the Late Arrival lineup seems fairly solid. Also, lots of good OPs to choose from... even someone like me who has hardly seen anything is going to have a tough time choosing. What categories are looking to be the toughest for everyone else? |

Best Ecchi was surprisingly hard to narrow down to three shows. Slice-of-life has a solid number of good shows, though two shows are dominating the voting. I know exactly what I'm voting for in Comedy, but my picks are being mostly ignored. There is a lot of diversity in the voting in that category, so I don't know what will come out ahead there. As big of a category as Action is, looking at the votes so far, only five shows seem to be serious contenders, though I only voted for two of those five. That wasn't even on my radar. Is it related to Futari wa Pretty Cure? By that I mean, would I need to watch Futari wa Pretty Cure first?
