THIS shows that the hidden anime references are older than some of the people in the forum, including me.
But here is a couple others. (quicky 2-4 videos, the second one has a killer track of music.)
Daicon III (81)
Zaku's (gundam) Ultraman's ship, Godzilla, and a dozen others.
Daicon iV (83) Macross, Yamato, Mazinger Z and some other sci fi references like Star Wars, Batman, Thunderbirds.
Anyhow, I love references, as long as it is either a comedy, OR not distracting if it is not a comedy.
