Re: Can we give a little more highlight to the discussion threads?
There are a number of things regarding Specific that need work, this being one of them. Another thing is the headers, which are outdated given the fact that the Reviews section of the forum is no longer available. These things coupled with my lack of posting there has admittedly ended with my neglecting to pay as much attention to it as I should be, (though I do try to keep the alphalist maintained if nothing else) which means there's probably other stuff that's behind like some of the header links and whatnot.
It would require multiple people plugging away at it to do the kinds of grunt-work campaigns needed to fix it all, but that involves handing out mod rights so things get a bit difficult in terms of limiting recruitment options and such. And purely mainsite projects understandably take precedence over the forum, so this kind of stuff can wind up left on the back burner for awhile.
That all being the case though, I wonder if it might not be better to just have anime-specific discussions right on the entry pages themselves? Then even non-forum members could drop by and leave comments, and there wouldn't be a need to (automatically or otherwise) create threads, or to keep a big list of them, watch for duplicates, etc. I suppose it would have to take the form of a tab next to the reviews tab, with a scrollable list of comments inside...? Though now I guess we're talking devlopment costs again, but all the same it might be worth considering for to the mainsite to-do list.
