I don't think ~400 kb is too much to ask when you invest quite a bit of time filling out a list, there is nothing inherently wrong about scraping a website. You should deal with abusers through your server logs, not on the forums.
That was quite heavy handed, thankfully I have my list back so I got no further investment here. goodbye
