A few extra thoughts that didn't fit well in the review:
- Excised of Hikari's portion, this series would have probably been in 7.0 - 7.3 territory, dragged down by incomplete characterization and weak animation.
- Shizuma is NOT the prettiest girl in Astrea. That honor probably goes to Chikaru with Nagisa and Yaya following closely behind (it's clear why Yaya has been sent to an all girls boarding school. She was kicked out of her co-ed school for being too sexy. no studying occurred AT ALL).
- I really enjoyed watching Tamao suffer. Creepy, possessive, and utterly devoted every time she saw Nagisa take a step toward Shizuma, her heart broke a little and you could read it on her face. I only wish we got to hear some of the bitter poetry that pain caused. *sigh*
