Go watch the series Big O which is a bit of a slow anime series but its done in the classic style of mystery going on > Protagonist goes on adventure> Mystery revealed > Protagonist defeats the antagonist using his robot > the end.
in that series theres a mech called Big O and it is insanely well equipped and its actually weaker in the anime compared to the manga because in the manga it has handheld melee weapons which work in conjunction with its arm pistons.
i know that ill include Big O and the Guren SEITEN in the list
