Lol bravo. I enjoyed reading that, pretty much how I feel. Although I'd probably say more about that insipid love triangle, and how much I hate it.
As for the tense issue, I do that when I'm discussing a show I watched. I'll speak in past tense when I'm talking about my experience, and present when I'm describing the qualities of the show. The problem is it can look pretty weird, even though it's consistent and intelligible it often ends up sounding funny. Usually I go back and edit it, and make the tenses more uniform.
