Description

Anime-Planet will not offer a standard average rating (which takes the scores from all user ratings and averages them). These systems are almost always abused, are tarnished by users who rate everything a 4 or 5 (or in general don't have a balanced range), etc.

We have decided to offer a different version of the average rating. Similar to "sugoi" members (a feature that is being revamped to cover more users), we will have a trusted set of users that are known to give fair and balanced range of scores. The average of these users' scores will be displayed in the anirec entry.

Users will have the ability to nominate themselves or others to be added to the list, and others will be added by default based on staff recommendation.

Regular users will still be able to give their own score, which will show up in their personal anime list for themselves or friends/random people to see.
