I think AP should have an official Top 10 anime. This will be determined by an automatic system, where the anime that most frequently make it into People's Top 5 are listed. So let's say out of ten people, Ninja Scroll came up in six Top 5s, Heibane Renmei in five, Haruhi Suzumiya in four, etc, the list would be as follows.

First place: Ninja Scroll
Second place: Heibane Renmei
Third place: Haruhi Suzumiya
etc

As this would be automated, the list might change over time (depending on new anime released, change of AP demographic etc). I think it would just be an interesting way to rate anime, and it wouldn't be based on average ratings, but people's genuine personal tastes.

I argue Top 10 instead of Top 5 because this gives more scope for change in tastes to apply to the official list, and it also gives us more anime to look at. Heck, why not a Top 20? We might find some surprise entries - or we might not. Lol.

Also, people can click on the anime and find the names listed of all those who put it as their Top 5. Add that extra 'community' factor to it?
