I don't speak Japanese. I am constantly having to look up some of these Japanese terms like Ecchi, Josei, Seinen, Shoujo, Shounen, Moe, Omake, Otaku, Shinigami, Tsundere, Yandere, Yaoi, and Yuri. However, looking them up in a standard dictionary doesn't always tell me what they mean in terms of Anime. In fact, there are even some English words that I know the meaning of but wonder what they mean in terms of anime. For example, what is an abstract in terms of anime? What is noitaminA? I get that it's animation backwards but what does that mean?

I'd really appreciate a simple little page that defines these used terms used commonly in Anime-Planet. How does Anime-Planet use these terms?
