I realize I have not sufficiently lurked and that this post is probably flawed in some way. Forgive me in advance.

Suggestion 1: Add a Trash Bin forum. You can really call it whatever you want. Graveyard, Area of Lost Posts, etc. Basically, if a thread hasn't been posted in for over a year, have it automatically sent to that forum. Just lock the entire forum so users can't post in the threads and leave them there. That way, the main forums won't have dead threads taking up space, and if people still want to view those threads they can.

Suggestion 2: Streamline your site. You have a lot of images. That's fine if you want a nice design and view, however when you start to deal with more users coming in you'll be hit hard once you get your bandwidth bills. Lots of pictures is not good in that case. Perhaps you could cut down on the banner size a bit? Maybe make the anime addition system less graphic-intensive?

Suggestion 3: Allow us to drop classification of a series. I mean, I had to mark the Appleseed OVA/TV (whichever one it was) as Will Not Watch, when I really don't care either way at the moment. (I accidentally selected that I watched it, when it was the Appleseed movie I watched instead.) If there was some way to drop the series, I could not find it on the page which showed the animes listed alphabetically.

Suggestion 4: Allow an option to disable viewing of those icons. They are quite bulky, and an odd mash-up of themes. Nothing against members who use them though. You could add the option next to the options to disable viewing of sigs/avatars/pics.

Suggestion 5: Change the area that shows forum stats at the bottom to show the actual post totals (you have 119,000 but there's only 108,000 currently viewable on this forum). 11,000 is really a negligible amount, but when more things get deleted, suddenly you're looking at 100,000 posts lost.

Suggestion 6: Reduce the number of points given for the mere mention of a new series. Simply giving a title should not be worth more than a description that leads people to information about the series. If you still feel 2 points should be given for a complete mention of a series, then increase the synopsis to 1 full point.

(VBulletin might not allow some of these forum changes. I'm just putting them out there. And...these are all suggestions, not demands. Feel free to shoot me down, I won't take offense. What I believe would be nice for the site may not be in your best interest, or in the best interest of all the users.)
