^ I know what you meen. :) My tears was also streaming after Toradora and Angel Beats. Sure, I am an emotional guy, but hey... not THAT much.
Another one that also was a big tearjerker for me was Sola. Try that one if you want more sad/sweet stories.
The producers are very skilled at playing with our emotions sometimes, and I think that's a sign of quality for the show.
