Default Re: Modern animes not up to standards?

You know, this kind of discussion is pointless.

It's just in the nature of us humans, that we forget unpleasant things and kepp only the good memories.
For example, you and your girlfriend/boyfriend are on a trip.

Some years later you and your girlfriend/boyfriend seperated and you look at the old photos you made on the trip.
You took lots of photos
of the beautiful beach,
the clean entrance of the hotel,
and you think, how much fun you two had back then.

What you don't see on the photos are, the other tourists on the beach,
getting drunk in the morning and shouting, playing music to loud.
You don't see photos of the dirty bedroom, bathrooms, the foodpoisoning you got at the buffet....
You don't see photos of your girlfriend shouting at you, because she thought you were looking at the waitress

It's the same with anime, while the good ones are known by a lot of people they are remembered and people tell you to watch them, if you havn't seem them yet.
The bad ones are simply forgotten.

An other important aspect is the internet.
Because of this, we it's easier to know about all the new serieses, which are aired.
Back in the "good old days" you just missed lot's of anime, because they were never fan-subbed and downloadeable at the internet.
Today you just don't have the bliss of ignorance anymore.
