I admit: when I finished the first season I felt his personality was too redundant and static even though I prefer more stoic protagonists and had him as one of my favorites. When the next two seasons delved into his backstory and why exactly it's so important to him to not only help Seirin but his former Teiko teammates however I started to push aside my initial critiques and, well, he's an adorable, decently written protagonist whose dedication to friendship and teamwork felt admirable and beautiful rather than cheesy or overdramatic like it would be for some animes. Kuroko's basketball indeed.
I really like anime characters that are expressionless like Tetsu, Mob and Saitama! Then you just know they got something up their sleeve and that is totally awesome!<3
