Rukia is the adopted sister of Byakuya and a shinigami in the thirteenth squad. She has a very close relationship with Ichigo as well as her childhood friend, Renji. Though she has a cool demeanour and is talented at both kidou and swordsmanship, she has absolutely zero artistic ability, which is often the subject of much mockery from her friends. Rukia's zanpakutou is Sode no Shirayuki, a pure white ice-type sword widely believed to be the most beautiful katana in soul society.
