He was pretty likable in NGE but his character was stellar in the rebuilds (considering he was basically just a background character), his relationship with Shinji is really fun to watch, but it really shines in the rebuilds, probably one of my favorite background characters
He's a great character who clearly deserves more appreciation. He has great character development in the Evangelion: Battle Orchestra game, a shame he didn't get more screentime in NGE and the rebuilds! <3
