I originally did not care for Hardlar as an antagonist. He just fit the standard sort of generic villain trope and didn't have much substance. But this was purely going off of the original Dai series.
After watching the full remake, I've learned to appreciate his tenacity as a character. While I of course am not excusing his atrocities, he was a VERY worthy adversary to the main character and even his master before him, Avan. Very interesting plot progression and I have nothing but respect for his will to fight
I don't have much love for stupid or foolish bad guys. He said one of the dumbest and most hypocritical things I've ever heard "you made yourself a lifelong enemy". Um pardon me, but didn't this foolish idiot invite that from Dai first? I mean, how dense can he be?
